Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid

Nina Riva had lived a difficult life for how young she was.  She and her siblings never had it easy despite who their father was, but at least they had each other.  And one thing that stuck was their party.  It has started off when they were young, just locals attending, but had continued once Nina found her fame and now it was the party to be at.  This year would be no different, but none of them would be the same by the end of the night. This was the perfect, quick, summer read.  It's been rainy here so I think I read it in 3 days.  I loved the story and loved the format, hour by hour.  I will definitely be looking for more books by this author.

LED Mirror Clock

I like having a clock on my nightstand.  Do I need it?  Not really.  My phone is always near by, but I've always had one and just like having it there.  I never use it for an alarm.   I am a little embarrassed to say that until I recently got this I have had an old iHome as my clock.  Once upon a time I used it with my iPod as a speaker as well, but it has just become a regular clock for me.  I saw this clock on someone's Instagram story.  Maybe @alexajeanbrown? I decided it was time to upgrade. Super easy to set up and does have an alarm function if you do want an alarm clock.  The best part?  2 USB ports on the side so I can plug my phone charger into it.  The mirror look is so sleek and modern and you can change how bright you like your numbers.  There is also an auto brightness setting.  You can get it with a white or black base.  It's currently $20.59 on Amazon and there's a 20% coupon, so it's $16.47...

All Things Cease to Appear by Elizabeth Brundage

I was scrolling through Netflix one night and was looking at recently added and saw the trailer for Things Seen and Heard with Amanda Seyfried.  It looked good and then it said based on the book.  For me, it means I have to read the book first.  I went and found it on Amazon after some searching as the title is not the same, but boy am I glad I did. A young couple moves to a farmhouse in a small, quiet town.  They got the farmhouse for a very good deal, as the house had some unsettling history.  As time passes and Catherine's marriage falls apart, she also learns the dark history of the house. I don't want to write too much and give any spoilers.  I got through this pretty quickly.  I love a book with secrets and twists.  I have not watched the movie yet.  I will do a post once I do.
